Yamina Zoutat
Born in Switzerland, Yamina Zoutat worked as court reporter for TF1 from 1994 to 2004. She is currently teaching audiovisual writing and legal journalism at the Panthéon University in Paris. "6999 DOORS" is Zoutat's first documentary feature film.

6999 is the number of doors inside one of the oldest and most famous tribunals in the world, the Court of Paris, where Yamina Zoutat spent a good portion of her youth as a journalist, writing about dozens of trials — some important and some that never made a mark on our collective memory. After a years-long absence, she revisits this grandiose building with its mysterious halls, laden with history’s tales and haunted by the ghosts of past centuries, and this return triggers in her a series of reflections and epiphanies, thus allowing the viewers access to a sensory universe, which otherwise they would hardly have been able to identify with such an imposing edifice. Once you’ve seen this documentary, your experience of coming into contact with public institutions will change completely. (Andrei Rus)
