The discussants, fellows of New Europe College – Institute for Advanced Study in Bucharest, will take the movie ”Mallé en son exil” (2017, Denis Gheerbrant) as a starting point to advance a series of migration related topics such as diasporic lives, power relations, (post)colonialism, intersections between exile and migration, migrant labor market and precarity, multiple class positions, timescapes, family and gender issues as reflected in the daily life of millions of labour migrants across the globe.
